1. Lexan and Makrolon Coated Polycarbonates
Coated Polycarbonate sheets have unique, hard surface coating which provides a high level of protection against abrasion, so it’s an excellent candidate for use in applications where frequent contact is likely. At Mulford we can offer both Lexan and Makrolon grades depending on your region.
In addition to the inherent characteristics of a polycarbonate material, Lexan Margard and MAKROLON® AR sheet has a proprietary hard surface coating, on one or two sides, which provides a high level of resistance to abrasion, chemical resistance and weathering. Depending on the product they are backed by a 5 to 10 year limited warranty against loss of light transmission and coating failure and breakage. Lexan is has a very diverse range of Margard products depending on your application we can add features such as Antifog; for different processing methods we can offer grades for flat or formability and finally offer flame retardant grades
* Lexan® is available in Australia, New Zealand and China/Hong Kong
* Makrolon® is available in Singapore, China/Honk Kong, India and Malaysia

Marnot XL is a protective hardcoat offering superior abrasion, scratch, and chemical resistance plastic coating. With one or two side coated, clear or matte coatings, Marnot meets the stringent requirements of the appliance, nameplate, membrane touch switch and lens markets..
In addition, Mulford also offer Marnot in an Anti Glare grade which is ideal for areas with poor lighting or applications where it is difficult to read the appliance, or the Marnot Advanced Clear Polyester which has superior chemical resistance, improved abrasion resistance, and better pencil hardness.
Marnot is commonly available on polycarbonate and polyester however also be produced on Tri-Acetyl Cellulose, PEN, Polycarbonate blends or other specialty substrates on request.
